The email also invited him to “pick up a signed exemption form” from the church’s office.Įmployers are generally supposed to assume a worker’s request for religious accommodation is sincere. Thirteen minutes later, the church responded with a link to an exemption request template and contact information for a lawyer at the Pacific Justice Institute, a conservative legal group based in Sacramento. “We trust in Jesus, but we don’t know how to go about this and are really hoping you can help,” the message read. He and his family attend another church, he wrote, but believed that Calvary Chapel would have “more resources to help us.” 1, a history teacher at El Camino Real High School in Placentia sent an email to the nondenominational Calvary Chapel Chino Hills asking for help with a religious exemption from the vaccine. The True Hope Ministry letter wrongly asserted that the vaccine contains “the DNA of a male aborted baby.” A Northern California Pentecostal church falsely claimed that the vaccines contain “animal parts.” A letter from Joshua Springs Calvary Church in Yucca Valley inaccurately described the COVID-19 vaccines as “gene therapy” and wrongly said asking employees to disclose their vaccination status was a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Other form letters listed concerns not rooted in religion - or fact. for their clients, which are adopted by the clients and filed as their own sworn statements in various proceedings,” he said. “Attorneys routinely draft first-person statements, affidavits, declarations, etc. Mihet said in an email that “Liberty Counsel provides free assistance to help employees articulate their own religious beliefs” and that the practice is not “improper.” Written in the first person, the statement asked for a vaccine waiver so “I am not forced to sin and stain my conscience.” The statement noted the employee’s concern with fetal cell lines, then added an idea the employee hadn’t mentioned: an objection to “any other product or medication that is connected to abortion in the same way.” The employee’s email and Mihet’s response were forwarded multiple times, eventually landing in the inbox of an Orange County Sheriff’s Department employee. “Do not put anything on it that identifies me or that the statement came from me. “Cut and paste the statement below, assuming it correctly states your religious beliefs,” Horatio Mihet wrote. There are small enclosures and equipment on the roof of commercial building.Īnd although RTP walls usually have heavy edges (big wooden beams, pillars, different colored bricks) I just cannot get over the fact that very few modern homes have accents like this (except ones with siding.) So I skirted that RTP style element a bit. Modern homes have lots of broken roof lines (reverse gables) with tons of stuff like pipes and satellite dishes on roofs. Modern homes may have multiple exterior materials (concrete foundation, siding, stone and brick all on one house!) Modern materials are less textured (look at some concrete walls, or adobe (in the South) or the manufactured trims and coatings. Big old blocks of stone make sense for that time period, but not now. *RTP Style? – While I have tried to keep my materials in an RTP style, it seems to me that part of the RTP style is tied up in the setting it represents – mostly pre-industrial and largely medieval. Airplane/bus/subway travel could either be on the world map in a vehicle, or in a map used in a common event showing passengers seated on the airplane, etc. Handling vehicles and world maps in this way allows a realistic look in your main maps but allows travel between cities in vehicles. Features of the Resources/ Suggested Mapping Approach: ![]() ![]() My other questions are just practical ones - are columns 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 5, 6, 7, and 8 all interpreted differently? 1 and 2 are consistent patterns regardless, but 3 and 4 have rugs with borders, and 5-8 can be layered on top of other ground tiles. ![]() But if there's some method that allows me to change the default A2 3x2 format into 3x3, I'd love to know! If it's impossible, I can just re-draw the first couple patterns, no worries. That being said, the way A2 sets are interpreted may just be built into the VX ACE engine and can't be changed. Squeezing the alternating patterns into two tiles looks cluttered and sloppy, so I'd rather not if I can avoid it. I ask because the ground I've sketched for my A2 set has much more variety - meaning, I can't have a repeating auto-tile that's only two tiles wide because the ground I've sketched has three separate components across. I've isolated the first section below in its typical 3x2 format, and expanded it by one more tile to make it 3x3 to help visualize my first question - is it possible to create an A2 section that can be interpreted as 3x3 rather than 3x2? In the screenshot below, I took the default Interior_A2 and applied a 32x32 grid, then labeled each pattern section with a blue number. I'm currently sketching my A2 set, so I want to know - A2 source files are interpreted in 3x2 (row x column) sections. Set A performs differently than Sets B-E in that Set A houses animated tiles (source file A1) and auto-tiles (source files A2, A3, and A4) split into particular columns with specific behaviors according to mode type (area or field), plus one normal set (source file A5), but Sets B-E are mainly decorative and render as the top layer on the game map, right?Īnd to break down Set A -> A1 = animated tiles, A2 = ground tiles, A3 = building tiles, A4 = wall tiles, A5 = normal tiles, yes? To my understanding, the default interior A2 set is 16x12 tiles long, which equates to 512x384 total pixels since each individual tile is 32x32 pixels. After reviewing the VX ACE manual for all its available info on tilesets, I exported the default interior A2 tileset from VX ACE to check my dimensions. I'm currently in the midst of creating my custom tilesets, and I wanted to clarify several things before I went through the effort of painting, as any miscalculations on my part will effectively off-set the remainder of the pattern in the map editor. In the RPG Maker series since RPG Maker 2000, tilesets are PNG images.Hello! I'm back again with another question - this time regarding the function of the Set A tileset. RPG Maker MZ supports 16, 24, 32, and 48 pixel tiles (the RTP is still 48x48). In RPG Maker XP, VX, and VX Ace, tiles are 32x32 pixels in size, and in RPG Maker MV, tiles are 48x48 pixels in size. In RPG Maker 20, tiles are 16x16 pixels in size. In RPG Maker 95, a tile is a 32x32 image. ![]() In addition, a much heavier focus on autotiles is given, as a huge portion of the titleset images are reserved for autotiles. In RPG Maker VX and later, the tilesets themselves, and thus the autotiles, consist of separate images. RPG Maker XP allows each tileset to have up to seven autotiles which are changed by using the database. In RPG Maker 20, the autotiles are part of the image. Some autotiles are even animated, such as water. In RPG Maker 95 and later, there are autotiles that help with creating maps by automatically correcting themselves as the map is modified to have a contiguous border around itself bordering other tiles of a different type. In RPG Maker VX, only one tileset can be used for a game, while in other releases of RPG Maker, over a hundred tilesets can be used in a game, but only one can be used for a single specific map at a time. A Tileset, known as a "chipset" in older versions of RPG Maker, are a collection of tiles used to build a map. ![]() ![]() ![]() Note that I added the fill light by selecting my original lamp, hitting “Shift + D” to duplicate it, then moving the new light behind the donut and lowering its intensity (to around 20W in my case). The back of the donut before I add a fill light: I can add a weaker “fill light” behind the donut to fix this. Playing with those three will adjust the brightness, size, position of shadows, and how “sharp” shadows appear:īecause I placed my lamp so close to the donut, there’s now a pretty strong difference between the lighting at the front of the donut (very bright) and the light at the back (very dark). Having the light generally above and offset from the object will provide a pleasant look that has some nice shadows to help us see the contours of our donut and sprinkles. ![]() Shadows are an important part of making objects look “defined”.
